The 2025 Local Election Forecast

Nearly all Ontario County city and town offices are up for reelection in November 2025. The following Town of East Bloomfield offices are for 3-year terms.

  • Town Supervisor (1) – We cross-endorse Fred Wille
  • Town Council (2 seats) – We endorse Sheila Sulli
  • Town Clerk (1) – We endorse Peg Gochenaur
  • Highway Superintendent (1) – We cross-endorse Tripper Torno
  • Tax Collector (1) – We cross-endorse Kathy Cooper
  • Judge (1) – No endorsement

East Bloomfield Democratic electors endorsed two candidates for the 2025 election cycle: Margaret Gochenaur (Town Clerk) and Sheila Sulli (Town Board).

Margaret (Peg) Gochenaur was voted in as the 2025 Democratic candidate for East Bloomfield Town Clerk, a role she has filled for the past 12 years. Peg is a lifelong resident of East Bloomfield and an active member of the New York State Town Clerk’s Association. She’s also a member of the Ontario County Municipal Clerk’s Association, New York Association of Local Government Records Officers, New York State Court Clerk’s Association, East Bloomfield Cemetery Trustee, and is currently President of the East Bloomfield Historical Society. Peg always strives to make the Clerk’s office an independent office responsive to the needs of all residents of East Bloomfield. 

Sheila M. Sulli was nominated to be the Democratic candidate for Town Board. Sheila has lived and raised her family in Bloomfield for 32 years. She spent 6 years on the Bloomfield Central School District Board of Education, served as a school nurse at Bloomfield Elementary School, and owned and operated businesses in Bloomfield for over 10 years. 

The caucus also voted to cross-endorse Frederick A. Wille as Town Supervisor, Robert (Tripper) D. Torno III as Superintendent of Highways, and Kathleen Cooper as Tax Collector.

Also running, but not formally endorsed by EBDC, is Darius Lind and David Siguenza to fill two seats on the NYS Supreme Court.
