Darius Lind has built his career serving families throughout New York’s 7th Judicial District. From the beginning, his work has centered on helping people through some of life’s most difficult moments — representing domestic violence survivors, advocating for children, and fighting to keep families in their homes during the foreclosure crisis. As an Assistant Public Defender, he specialized in abuse and neglect cases, guiding parents toward stability and reunification.
Today, Darius serves as a Court Attorney Referee, where he presides over child custody and domestic violence matters with fairness, compassion, and integrity. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of both the law and the people it impacts—preparing him to serve as a thoughtful and effective New York State Supreme Court Justice.
Outside the courtroom, Darius is a proud husband and father of two. He coaches youth soccer, stays active in the gym, and enjoys designing and building custom pieces in his woodworking studio. A lover of music, comedy, and travel, Darius brings the same energy and creativity to his personal life that he brings to his work—dedicated to his family, his community, and the belief that justice should always serve people first.
